SF ELECTROLYSIS

• Good Hygiene is an important part of treatment preparation. 
• Please allow your hair to grow 4 to 5 days before your appointment. I have to see it in order to treat it.
• Wash your hair if the hair line or nape is to be treated. 
• Thoroughly bathe for body work.
• Please , no lotions, oils, deodorants, or makeup on the treatment area.  Clean skin reduces the risk of irritation and inflammation.
• Wear freshly laundered bikini or brief underwear for a bikini line treatment.
• Avoid caffeine intake on the treatment day.
• Try to avoid rushing in to your appointment.  Rushing can make a person tense and nervous. Arrive at the office early to allow yourself ample time to relax for a few minutes before your treatment. ​
• Optionally, take a pain tablet 30 mins prior to your appointment.

Follow these after care instructions for a minimum of 3 full days (24-72hrs) :

• Do not touch, rub, scratch or squeeze the treated area.​
• If swelling occurs, apply ice pack to the treated area.
• Keep treated area clean.  Do not apply makeup to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
• Blot lightly with antiseptic such as Sea Breeze, Bactine, Hydrogen Peroxide or Witch Hazel.
• Apply Aloe Vera gel or a medicated greaseless cream for burns.
• If pustules appear, blot lightly with Hydrogen Peroxide to the treated area.  Also, use antibacterial cream or ointment such as Polysporin, Mycitracin or Neosporin. 
• If scabbing should occur, avoid picking.  All materials and instruments used in the treatment have either been sterilized, sanitized or disinfected.
• If bruising occurs take bromelain supplements from the health food store to aide in reduced bruising and swelling. A natural way of ingestion is from pineapple juice and fruit.
• Avoid exposure to the sun.  If you have to be in the sun, wear sunblock of at least SPF 15.
• Wait three to five days before using hot tubs, saunas, or pools.

Depending on individual skin type, you may display redness, tenderness, rarely but possible bruising, a small amount of swelling, and or scabbing after the treatment.  This is normal.  If any other manifestations occur, it is temporary and will disappear shortly with proper care.  Please do not aggravate the treated area in any way.  It is important that you continue an after-care program at home to help your skin heal and to avoid unnecessary irritation.
